Landscape Forms, North America's leading designer and manufacturer of high-design site furniture, structure, lighting and accessories, proudly announces the recipients of its 2025 scholarship program in partnership with the Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF). This year's honorees are Veronica Cuapio and Emily Pham-two outstanding undergraduate students whose academic achievements and visions for the future embody the spirit of innovation and environmental stewardship that the scholarship seeks to support.

Since 2007, Landscape Forms has partnered with LAF to offer annual scholarships for distinguished undergraduate landscape architecture students. Landscape Forms believes strongly in the power of landscape architecture to positively impact both the environment and human connection to it. Through the scholarship program, Landscape Forms continues its mission to nurture the next generation of landscape architects, leaders who will shape more equitable, sustainable, and resilient outdoor spaces for future generations.

One of this year's recipients, Veronica Cuapio, is pursuing dual degrees in Landscape Architecture and Construction Engineering and Management at the University of Connecticut. Inspired by the interdisciplinary challenge that is landscape architecture, she seeks to engage with the many different facets of the profession to create culturally and ecologically significant designs. « Avant l’université, j'ai suivi des études dans un secondaire spécialisé en ingénierie et participé au programme de mentorat ACE Mentorship Program of America. Je m'y suis intéressé aux carrières dans l’ingénierie et la construction et me suis concentré sur les moyens d'assurer la sécurité de tous, indépendamment de la langue ou de l’origine », explique Veronica. "Then when I was looking into the programs at UCONN, I discovered that in landscape architecture, I could combine this passion with creative problem solving, improving lifestyles, and improving the ecosystems around us. Mon objectif pour l'avenir est de contribuer à garantir à toutes les communautés l’accès à des espaces verts qui inciteront les générations futures à mieux connaître l’environnement et à en prendre soin tout au long de leur vie. »

Emily Pham, the second recipient, is enrolled in the Landscape Architecture program at the University of Guelph. With keen interests in art, sustainability and collaborative design, she sees in landscape architecture an opportunity to champion stewardship and inclusivity through innovative urban solutions. « J’ai découvert l’architecture paysagère grâce à un professeur du secondaire qui était un ancien architecte paysagiste. Il m’a encouragé, mis au défi avec des projets personnels et m’a ouvert les yeux sur ce domaine qui combine mes intérêts pour l’art et la durabilité, indique Emily. Plus j’étudie la durabilité à l’université de Guelph, plus je me rends compte qu'il s’agit d’un sujet très nuancé. Elle concerne les environnements naturels qui peuvent subvenir à leurs propres besoins et ne nécessitent pas énormément d’entretien pour se développer, mais aussi les environnements qui apportent quelque chose en retour aux gens de manière saine. Je conçois donc ma mission de conceptrice comme un moyen d’améliorer la durabilité des écosystèmes tout en contribuant au bien-être social et en aidant les gens à profiter de la vie dans des environnements sains. »
