Landscape Forms, North America’s leading designer and manufacturer of high-design site furniture, structure, lighting and accessories, introduces Link Rail, an expansion of the acclaimed Link modular seating system created in collaboration with designer Jess Sorel. Link Rail elevates Link’s proven modular, "kit-of-parts” approach to bar and leaning styles, carrying forward the same angles, radii and formal language so designers can freely define edges, sketch outdoor rooms and invite more casual, social postures with the ease of a standardized system.

Link Rail launches as two adaptable expressions in standing height: a perch-friendly rail top and a hangout-ready bar top both available with either an inline or piano key wood surface. Inline offerings support straight, mitered, staggered and myriad other rectilinear configurations. The piano-key top supports straight, arced, circular and even serpentine compositions-extending Link's hallmark spatial fluency into standing-height surfaces. All configurations are compatible with Landscape Forms' Illumination & Power Kit, neatly integrating low-level LED ambiance lighting and convenient power options at the rail for laptops, tablets and other device charging. Optional backstops provide directionality, while discreet under-rail bag hooks reinforce the everyday comfort and convenience associated with causal standing, leaning and elevated seating postures.

"Raising Link to standing height taps into the same DNA as the original-only lighter in attitude and tuned to different postures," says Jess Sorel, designer of Link and Creative Director at sorelstudio. "It quietly sketches space-bending around objects, defining nooks and corners, guiding movement-while inviting people to lean, perch or pull up a stool. With slim ribbons or deeper bar tops and an optional backstop for directionality, designers can move along a continuum from ambiguous to specific in how the rail is used."

Like the original seating system, Link Rail's design is descriptive, not prescriptive. By retaining the system's familiar geometry, it stays simple to specify while introducing new possibilities-border elements that cue movement, standing-height touchdown bar tables for impromptu work or casual dining, and serpentine runs or flowing, asymmetric shapes that respond to existing landscape features and anchor gathering. "Link's popularity over the last five years made the next step obvious-raise the system," says Ryan Heiser, Director of Design at Landscape Forms. "With straights, 90s, 45s and radiused pieces, Link Rail lets you do what many would otherwise approach as fully custom-but it stays easy to configure. It can define space, act as a border or serve as bar-height tabletops. And with standard options for power and lighting, plus thoughtful details like under-rail hooks, it naturally becomes a gathering point for everything from a quick coffee to hours of working on a laptop outdoors."

Link Rail offers responsibly sourced wood options for the tops including dassoXTR Fused Bamboo®, Kebony Dually Modified™ Wood and thermally modified ash, innovative materials notable for their sustainability, durability and elevated performance, while retaining the sought-after warmth and softness of natural wood. Combined with powdercoated metal in Link Rail's angled vertical supports and horizontal footrest, these options extend both longevity and design versatility while aligning with Landscape Forms' commitment to sustainable craft manufacturing.

Rooted in Link's ethos of special fluency, Link Rail is visually quiet yet functionally decisive, capable of softly delineating outdoor rooms, activating edges, thresholds and open spaces, and welcoming varied postures and lengths of stay. Designed and manufactured in the USA, Link Rail expands on the original system's promise-the creative freedom and tailored fit of custom with the clarity and value of a standard modular offering-into the casual, versatile standing-height experiences that increasingly define contemporary outdoor life.
